CRA data center migration causes service suspension! August 29, 8:00 PM ET - September 2, 6:00 AM ET ( possibly extended to September 3 !)
CRA reminds all users that due to a large-scale data migration project led by Shared Services Canada (SSC), CRA will conduct a planned server migration in late summer 2025, at which time all CRA systems will be shut down for upgrades!
As a key part of the CRA's system migration plan, the agency's information technology infrastructure will be completely relocated from its existing data center to a new facility managed by the Shared Services Center (SSC). This migration will affect many of the CRA's core business systems and services, including various reporting platforms used daily.
List of affected services
During this period, all of the following online services will be temporarily unavailable:
Online verification and filing of individual income tax (T1)
Online corporate income tax declaration (T2)
EFILE Verification System (T3)
Automatic Reporting (AFR)
Taxpayer account information inquiry
Overseas filing online service (including T1134, T1135 and other forms)
Tax software assessment notification push function
AgriStability/Agricultural Investment Enterprise Form Submission System
ReFILE service
CRA Electronic Notification Service
Website services for T1 and T2 special items and tax refunds
